The JPTS elections took place on Wednesday May the 11th at the JPTS office in Al-Khalidi st. One meeting was held earlier on Wednesday April the 27th but was postponed 2 weeks because of the lack of quorum.
In the meeting that was held on Wednesday May the 11th , the President Mr. Modhi Alhaj read the annual report in which he mentioned the achievements of 34th Board of the JPTS.
Mr. Hussein Sumreen read the financial report for the 2015/2016.
Dr. Saad Al Nasan was named president by acclamation.
For the rest of the positions, the following members were the candidates:
1. Dr. Nihad Al Masri.
2. Dr. Saddam Kanaan.
3. Dr. Mohammad Al Yabroudy
4. Dr. Hanan Khalil.
5. Dr. Alia Al Ghwairy.
6. Dr. Ibrahim Al Toubasi.
7. Mr. Zaid Abu Maizer.
8. Mr. Nabeel Nouman.
9. Mr. Hussein Sumreen.
10. Mr. Bilal Khalaf.
The results of the elections:
1. Dr. Ibrahim Al Toubasi got 36 votes.
2. Mr. Bilal Khalaf got 28 votes.
3. Mr. Zaid Abu Maizer got 27 votes.
4. Mr. Hussein Sumreen got 26 votes.
5. Dr. Nihad Al Masri got 26 votes.
6. Dr. Saddam Kanaan got 25 votes.
The Substitutes are:
Dr. Mohammad Al Yabroudi.
Dr. Hanan Khalil.
Dr. Alia Al Ghwairi.
In their first meeting, the 35th board of JPTS decided the positions as the following:
Dr. Nihad Al Masri Secretary General.
Dr. Ibrahim Al Toubasi Treasurer.
Dr. Saddam Kanaan Head of Scientific Committee.
Mr. Bilal Khalaf Head of the Media Committee.
Mr. Hussein Sumreen Head of the Social Committee.
